I belong to Shipping Division and operate 4 chemical tankers, who move among Singapore, Malaysia and India. They carry up to 10,000ton of liquid chemical product. The main product becomes "PET BOTTLE" and "POLYESTER FIBER". I am learning many things, such as customer's business, products, ships, ports and weather. I coordinate those things for safety and smooth operation to satisfy our customers. "Common language is English", if this is key word of your future, this may be the right place.

Your future “Achievement” on job ―What do you expect? To become a member of a big project and complete the mission? I used to think that way, but the reality was different. My work is simple: ships carry same cargo and run same trade lane. Though it is simple, it means a lot. The cargo is several billion dollars and our income is several hundred thousand dollars. I study in order to deliver those cargoes without fail. My customer gave me a word “Thank you very much.” That is when I feel an “Achievement.”

Yes, logistics has been a "male industry", but it is changing. Ships are moving twenty-four seven and we need to be tough. In Singapore, where I communicate every day, there are a lot of female staffs who work under the same condition as male staffs. The numbers of female staffs in MCLC is also increasing. In the past, one of the female staff had a trouble with her male customer, only because she was a woman, but there is no such trouble any more. I feel our environment is gradually changing.
